Notes from Meeting: 20th November 2008
Thank to all in attendance, and in particular to President Noel Moor, for the vote of confidence given to our group organisers and myself for the effort that has been put it in to make the Group a success during its first year of activity.
I would like to thank my helpers Tom, Wal ,Vern, and in particular my wife Wendy for all of their efforts in making meetings a success.
To all our members and attendees I thank you all for the support offered throughout the year, and we are sure that your time taken in filling out the survey will lead to many more interesting meetings during 2009.

The meeting today seemed to take on a more interesting tone with questions coming from all around the room.   This is what we all hoped to achieve in the beginning, as this opens up more ideas for what we should be discussing.  Save these Q&A's and "keep them coming".

Wal Glading opened the first presentation with more excellent shortcuts, and some discussion on some excellent software we should give consideration to using..    www.ashampoo.com  Try Magical Defrag".    Clean up you old files with cCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/  excellent free software.

Ron Petschack took time to talk of his experiences with the organisation

This company would be very pleased to receive your old computers when you have finished with them.   However they must be delivered to Northmead.

Vern Cottee updated his former presentation on VOIP by confirming his initial planning, that using GoTalk would prove successful. Vern is very happy with his commitment to this form of telephone and broadband service at the home.   View the original presentation HERE

I have found an website where you can download and try more Excel Templates for managing home budgets try http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel/HA010450871033.aspx

As there will be no meeting on 18th December we still  have the hall available for our use.   Maybe we can plan a small get together for members who showed interest in learning how to connect up and use our equipment to have an hour or so discussion and training.   More on this in an email to members
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all.
